Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist school in Darwen, as they are looking to hire a sports coach to further engage and develop their pupil’s enjoyment of physical activity and development.

The role

As a sports coach you will need to have a relevant sport qualification, and experience working with pupils aged between 10-16 years. The school has small class sizes varying between to 6-10 pupils per class. Within this role, there may be elements of general classroom support on your timetable. The school has a focus on building meaningful relationships with all pupils to create a respectful and safe environment for all, this means you will need to be able to form these relationships easily with both staff and pupils, engaging in all activities as a part of school life.

Important information:

  •  8.30am-3.00pm
  • Pay: £12.83 - £13.00 p/h
  • Full-time Monday - Friday
  • Have a sports coach background/ sporting experience
  • Have experience supporting children/ young adults with additional needs
