Supply Desk is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join a Specialist primary school in the Southampton area.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can use sport and physical activity to engage pupils, develop teamwork and confidence, and promote positive attitudes towards health and wellbeing.

You don't just need to be a coach, you'll be an important role model for pupils and an active member of the wider school community.

  • Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions.
  • Encourage participation and teamwork.
  • Support pupils of varying abilities and confidence levels.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles and positive wellbeing.
  • Assist with extracurricular clubs and sporting activities.
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development through sport.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Work alongside teaching staff to support pupil engagement.
  • Relevant sports coaching qualification or experience.
  • Experience working with children or young people with a range of additional needs 
  • Strong knowledge of sports and physical activity.
  • Energetic, positive and enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to modify and adapt lessons to meet specialist needs
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Full-time school-based position.
  • 30 hours per week.
