Specialist Support Assistant

A Primary School in Blackburn are currently seeking a Level 3 Specialist Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within EYFS with ASD. The pupil is non verbal and relies on visual cues for communication.

The school have expressed that the successful candidate must be proactive and experienced in supporting pupils who are nonverbal. This role is due to start as soon as possible, until the end of the school year, with the potential to become long term.

The school day will start at 8.45am until 3.15pm, Monday – Friday.

The school is a two form entry and is rated Good in their latest OFSTED. The senior leadership team are warm and welcoming and are keen to welcome a new member to their EYFS Team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

-          CACHE Level 3 (equivalent or above)

-          Experience working within a primary school, preferably EYFS

-          Vast experience supporting pupils with ASD who are non verbal

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
