Teaching Personnel are recruiting a committed Learning Support Assistant for a long-term position within a specialist school in Southampton.

This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school supports children with a range of additional needs including autism, complex learning difficulties and medical needs. Staff are passionate about providing a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

The Role:

  • Full-time, long-term position
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs in class
  • Working closely with teachers and therapists
  • Providing emotional and academic support
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working within SEN, care or support settings
  • Calm, patient and resilient personality
  • Passion for supporting vulnerable children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
