As a Secondary Spanish Teacher, you will teach KS3 and KS4 students how to communicate confidently and accurately. Your lessons will focus on building strong foundations in vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure, while developing the confidence to speak and respond in real time.

Key responsibilities
Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4
Plan lessons that build language skills progressively
Develop confidence in speaking and listening
Teach grammar and sentence structure clearly
Reinforce vocabulary through repetition and practice
Support reading and written tasks
Prepare students for GCSE Spanish assessments
Maintain clear, consistent classroom routines

The classroom environment
Students feel confident attempting answers
Lessons follow clear and predictable structures
Speaking is encouraged regularly
Errors are corrected constructively
Behaviour is calm and focused
Progress is steady and visible

Skills and experience
Experience teaching Spanish or strong language background
Clear pronunciation and modelling skills
Ability to build confidence in learners
Strong classroom management and organisation
Structured and consistent approach to teaching

Students respond more quickly and naturally
Confidence in speaking increases over time
Written work improves in accuracy and structure
Participation becomes more consistent across all abilities

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with language degrees, experience abroad, or strong Spanish language skills
