Spanish Teacher

An 11-16 Secondary School based in Longsight, South Manchester, is looking for a full-time MFL (Spanish) teacher who would be able to plan and deliver effective Spanish lessons up to KS4 GCSE level. The role would start from ASAP and continue on until the end of the school year in July with the possibility of continuing on into the new academic year. The nature of the vacancy is covering an on-going sick leave in for which the return date is not yet decided.

The school is a supportive 11-16 mixed secondary school which is a part of a larger trust. Teaching Personnel have a partnership agreement with the entire trust and support all the schools within it closely. The school in question use us as their primary recruiter for roles of this nature and have built a strong working relationship based on our track record of providing educators of an exceptional quality. The facilities within school are excellent and the department work closely together supporting one another within their teaching, the SLT ensure that no department is left without support or the tools required in order to succeed in school. The school are looking for an educator who would be able to jump right into the role and make a positive impact within 1 term (with the possibility of continuing on into the new academic year). You will confident with behaviour management and will be experienced with planning and deliver GCSE Spanish lessons. The role will involve full teaching responsibilities and as such you will be treated as a permanent member of staff.

  • Pay: In line with the Teacher Pay Scale as of September 2023 (MPS1 – UPS3)
  • ASAP start date until end of academic year (possibility to extend)
  • Spanish teaching role to KS4 – must be experienced in delivering to this level
  • Must have recognized UK QTS and also currently live in Manchester

This role would be a good opportunity for both ECT’s looking to gain further experience off the back of completing a PGCE or for more experienced teachers who are looking to change their role but are not wanting to jump straight into another permanent role. It will be a fantastic opportunity to build on professional contacts within the sector as well as the chance to establish yourself within a wider school trust community – schools within the trust liaise regularly, so once one opportunity ends in this school, it could lead to further opportunities within similar schools within the trust.
