Are you a passionate and resilient individual with a background in sports coaching, mentoring, youth work, or behaviour support? Do you have experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviours? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils within SEN and SEMH schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people who require additional support both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Encouraging engagement with learning and classroom activities.
  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours using positive behaviour strategies.
  • Acting as a positive role model and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Assisting teachers to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Background in sports coaching, sports education, youth work, mentoring, behaviour support, or SEN support.
  • Experience working with children or young people displaying challenging behaviours.
  • Confident, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
