SEND/SEMH Day-to-Day Cover

This one's a bit different.

We're not looking for people who need guaranteed, full-time work.

We're looking for people who are open, flexible, and happy to step in when schools need it most.

SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex regularly need last-minute cover.

That means:

• Calls between 7:00am - 8:00am
• Same-day work
• Occasional gaps between bookings
• Sometimes busy weeks, sometimes quieter ones

If you're relying on consistent income, this probably isn't the right fit.

If you're looking for flexible, ad-hoc work - it can work really well.

• Covering Teaching Assistant, Learning Support or teaching roles on a day-to-day basis
• Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
• Stepping into classrooms and helping keep things steady
• Working across different schools and environments

This tends to work really well for people who:

• Want flexibility over commitment
• Have other income streams or responsibilities
• Are happy being on standby for work
• Can get to schools in East Sussex at short notice
• Are confident, calm and adaptable

Access to a car is a big advantage for this type of work - but not essential.

• A child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Or willingness to apply for one immediately
• The ability to move quickly through vetting
• Reliability - if you say yes, schools are expecting you

• Teaching roles paid to scale
• Teaching Assistant / LSA roles paid at £92.60 per day
• Work across East Sussex SEND & SEMH schools
• Completely flexible, day-to-day opportunities

This isn't for everyone - and that's the point.
