Location: Chorley
Duration: Autumn Term (likely to be extended dependent upon funding)
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour

A welcoming mainstream primary school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team for the Autumn Term. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support a pupil with additional needs while contributing positively to their educational experience.

You will play a vital role in helping the pupil engage with learning, develop confidence and achieve their individual goals.

  • Provide high-quality 1:1 SEND support
  • Support classroom learning and participation
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN professionals
  • Adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
  • Encourage independence and personal growth
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) desirable
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Caring, patient and resilient nature
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • £14.25 per hour
