Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Leyland
Duration: Autumn Term (likely to be extended dependent upon funding)
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour

We are recruiting a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Leyland. This role involves providing dedicated support for a pupil with SEND, helping to ensure they have equal access to learning opportunities and achieve positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will be a motivated and caring individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs.

  • Providing 1:1 support within the classroom
  • Supporting learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Implementing tailored support strategies
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Assisting with classroom activities and interventions
  • Previous Teaching Assistant or SEND support experience
  • Experience working with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is advantageous
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Positive and patient attitude
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
