An excellent opportunity has arisen for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a friendly mainstream primary school in Darwen. This role offers the chance to provide meaningful support to a child with additional needs, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.

Working alongside experienced education professionals, you will deliver consistent and effective support throughout the school day.

  • Deliver 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND
  • Assist the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
  • Promote engagement, confidence and independence
  • Support social interaction and emotional regulation
  • Follow individual support plans and school policies
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Experience working within a school or educational setting
  • Background supporting SEND pupils is highly desirable
  • Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexible, proactive and compassionate approach
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • £14.25 per hour
