SEND Teaching Assistant (SEN Class) – Wigan (Full-Time)

A primary school in Wigan is looking to appoint a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a dedicated SEN provision within the mainstream setting. You will support pupils with EHCPs and a range of additional needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils within a specialist SEN class
  • Working with children with EHCPs including ASD, ADHD and speech & language needs
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Assisting the class teacher with tailored learning plans

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with SEND pupils (essential)
  • Understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning strategies
  • Patient, resilient and nurturing approach
  • Relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
