A mainstream primary school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support children within its resource provision. This position offers the chance to play a vital role in helping pupils with additional needs achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced teaching and SEND staff to provide targeted support and promote positive outcomes for pupils.

  • Supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Assisting with personalised learning programmes and interventions.
  • Encouraging participation, independence, and confidence.
  • Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and SEND professionals.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Previous experience within a primary school environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent pay rates of £14.25 - £16.00 per hour.
