We are currently recruiting a committed and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Leyland. The position will involve supporting children within the school's resource provision, helping them access education in a positive and supportive environment.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about SEND education and dedicated to helping pupils achieve their full potential.

  • Provide classroom and intervention support for pupils with SEND.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group learning activities.
  • Support communication, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist teachers in adapting learning resources and activities.
  • Encourage pupil engagement and participation.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
  • Experience working with SEND pupils.
  • Previous Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant experience.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive educational practices.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Patient and empathetic approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
