Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time basis across a variety of partner schools in the Camborne and Redruth area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) while gaining valuable experience within both specialist and inclusive educational settings.

Our partner schools include a mixture of SEND schools, specialist provisions, and mainstream schools with dedicated SEND support, offering a rewarding and varied working environment.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities
• Delivering 1:1 support and working with small groups
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning where required
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Supporting students with social, emotional, and personal development
