A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chorley is seeking an experienced and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils within its specialist SEND classroom provision.

This continuous opportunity is perfect for candidates who have experience supporting children with additional needs and who are passionate about creating positive outcomes for every learner.

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and personalised support programmes.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Assist with communication and social development activities.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies where required.
  • Contribute to a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND within education, care, or support environments.
  • Understanding of Autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, or communication needs.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Competitive pay rates from £14.25 - £16.00 per hour.
