Do you believe that every young person deserves someone who won't give up on them?

Across East Sussex, the number of children requiring specialist support continues to grow, and schools need compassionate, resilient people who are willing to make a genuine difference every single day.

Teaching Personnel is working with a range of specialist SEND schools and alternative provisions supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs, learning difficulties and complex needs. Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with transferable skills looking to begin a career in education, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a role where relationships come first. You'll be supporting young people to regulate their emotions, build confidence, overcome barriers to learning and celebrate the progress that often goes unseen by others.

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Working alongside teachers, therapists and wider school staff.
  • Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Helping young people engage with learning both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Becoming a trusted, consistent adult within the school day.
  • Are patient, calm and emotionally resilient.
  • Enjoy building meaningful relationships.
  • Want a rewarding career where every day is different.
  • Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults (desirable but not essential).

As someone who spent over six years working within SEND myself before moving into recruitment, I understand how important it is to place the right people into the right schools.

To better support both our educators and the schools we work with, we're continually investing in specialist CPD through our Learning Cloud platform, helping our staff develop the knowledge and confidence needed to thrive within specialist settings.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely change lives whilst developing your own career, we'd love to hear from you.
