We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary setting in Bristol. This rewarding role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), or Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

The Role

You will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual EHCP targets

  • Assist pupils with complex communication and sensory needs

  • Support personal care where required (including feeding and hygiene)

  • Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children with PMLD, ASC, or MLD (school or care setting)

  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach

  • Understanding of sensory integration and communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton - desirable)

  • Committed to inclusive education

  • Relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
