Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a school in Mitcham to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher for a full-time role within a Primary or Early Years setting.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate educator with strong SEN/SEND and SEMH experience who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and creating an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.


About the Role

  • Teaching pupils within a Primary or Early Years SEN setting
  • Supporting children with a range of needs including SEN, SEND, and SEMH
  • Planning and delivering personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Creating a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Implementing EHCP targets and individual support plans
  • Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to support development
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing, communication, and independence
  • Full-time role with immediate or September start available

Essential Requirements - Please Read Carefully

✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
✔️ Proven experience working with SEN/SEND or SEMH pupils
✔️ Experience within a Primary or Early Years setting
✔️ Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
✔️ Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
