SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex are currently looking for educators and support staff who can bring patience, consistency and a calm, professional approach into the classroom.

These settings support pupils who may require additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation or learning, and schools are keen to meet people who understand the importance of strong relationships, structure and reliable support.


We are recruiting for a range of roles including:

  • SEND and SEMH teaching roles
  • Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant positions
  • 1:1 pupil support
  • Behaviour and engagement-focused support
  • Classroom and intervention roles
  • Day-to-day, long-term and ongoing opportunities

Across both primary and secondary settings.


These roles often suit individuals who:

  • Are calm, patient and emotionally consistent
  • Build positive relationships with young people
  • Can maintain structure and professionalism
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Are interested in meaningful work within education

Experience within SEND or SEMH is beneficial, though not essential. Schools are often open to candidates with transferable skills and the right attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
