I recruit specifically across SEND and specialist education in East Sussex, working with schools across Hastings, Battle, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes and the surrounding areas.
At the moment, I'm looking to speak with more people who either already have experience within SEND and SEMH, or have the sort of background and transferable skills that could make specialist education a good next step.
There isn't one particular vacancy behind this advert.
I work with different schools, supporting different needs and age groups, so I'd rather start by finding out what you're good at and what you actually want to do.

There isn't really one answer.
Having spent several years working in SEND myself before moving into recruitment, I worked alongside people with completely different personalities and backgrounds who were all brilliant at what they did.
There were, however, a few things they generally had in common.
They were dependable. They didn't take difficult behaviour personally. They knew when to push and when to give a pupil space. They could have a laugh with young people while still maintaining clear boundaries. And they understood that building trust can take time.
That's the sort of person my schools are looking for.
