SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex are currently looking for educators and support staff who can bring consistency, patience and a calm, reliable presence into the classroom.

These settings support pupils who may require additional help with behaviour, emotional regulation or learning, and schools are looking for people who understand the importance of structure, relationships and clear boundaries.

We are recruiting for a range of opportunities across both primary and secondary SEND settings.


  • SEND and SEMH teaching roles
  • Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant positions
  • 1:1 pupil support
  • Classroom and intervention support
  • Behaviour and engagement-focused roles
  • Day-to-day, long-term and ongoing placements

These roles tend to suit individuals who:

  • Are calm, patient and emotionally consistent
  • Build positive relationships with young people
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Can maintain structure and clear expectations
  • Are interested in making a genuine difference within education

Experience within SEND or SEMH is beneficial, but not essential. Schools are often open to candidates with transferable skills and the right attitude.
