I've worked with brilliant people from teaching backgrounds, care, coaching, youth work and mainstream schools. Some have years of SEND experience behind them; others have discovered specialist education much later in their careers.
What tends to matter is how you work with young people.
Can you stay calm when a situation becomes difficult? Can you build a relationship without expecting trust immediately? Can you be consistent with boundaries while still being approachable? And can you accept that sometimes a small step forward is actually a very big achievement?

I'm currently recruiting for a range of roles within SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex, including Hastings, Battle, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes and surrounding areas.

I work with both primary and secondary specialist settings, and the schools themselves can be very different.
