SEND Maths Tutor - Hillingdon (1:1 Tuition)

Quantum Scholars is currently seeking experienced maths tutors and qualified teachers to deliver 1:1, in-person maths tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across Hillingdon.

As a trusted provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, we support pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the students we work with have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support individual learners through tailored maths sessions that build confidence, strengthen numeracy skills, and help pupils re-engage with education. Tuition typically takes place in the pupil's home or in a suitable community setting. Tutors are responsible for planning and delivering lessons that meet each learner's specific needs and abilities.

Role Overview

• Deliver 1:1 maths tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils outside of mainstream education
• Flexible, part-time hours to fit around your availability
• Sessions take place during school hours, so daytime availability is essential
• Make a meaningful impact on pupils' confidence and academic progress

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
• Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
• Confident delivering maths across relevant key stages
• Excellent behaviour management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to travel to Hillingdon for in-person sessions
