Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated and resilient SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with challenging behaviour at a welcoming primary school in Hartlepool.

This rewarding role requires a patient and proactive individual who can build strong relationships, promote positive behaviour, and help a pupil engage successfully with their learning.

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil.
  • Supporting the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to encourage positive outcomes.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support individual needs.
  • Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience working with children with SEN and/or challenging behaviour.
  • A calm, resilient, and consistent approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Backgrounds in education, youth work, care, support work, or behaviour mentoring are welcomed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
