Teaching Personnel is recruiting a full-time SEN Tutor to join a specialist post-16 education setting in Yeovil this September. This rewarding role is ideal for an experienced professional who can hit the ground running, bringing creativity, patience and a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs to achieve their personal goals.

Working within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Independent Living Skills (ILS), Resilience and Functional Skills curriculums, alongside agreed subject specialisms.

Your focus will be on preparing learners for adulthood by developing practical life skills, confidence, communication, employability and independence while ensuring learning remains accessible, motivating and relevant.

This is far more than a traditional teaching role. You'll monitor achievement, contribute towards personalised learning programmes, work closely with therapists and support staff, and create an environment where every learner feels valued, respected and capable of success.

• Has previous experience working with children or young adults with SEND, autism, learning disabilities or complex needs.
• Can confidently plan and deliver engaging, differentiated learning.
• Understands the importance of promoting independence alongside academic progress.
• Builds positive, trusting relationships with learners and colleagues.
• Is organised, resilient and committed to achieving outstanding outcomes.
• Holds a teaching qualification or has relevant tutoring or educational experience (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
