Location: Leicestershire (including Leicester, Loughborough, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, and surrounding areas)
Hours: Flexible – During School Hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Part-Time / Flexible

We are currently seeking experienced and passionate SEN 1:1 Tutors to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Leicestershire.

Working in partnership with local schools and education providers, tuition sessions will be delivered on a one-to-one basis in a variety of settings, including:

  • Pupils' homes
  • School settings
  • Local libraries

  • Deliver tailored and engaging 1:1 tuition sessions for pupils with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Support pupils across core subjects, primarily English and Maths.
  • Create structured, supportive, and positive learning environments.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, parents/carers, and wider professionals.
  • Maintain strong safeguarding awareness and follow all compliance procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK.
  • Strong understanding and experience of supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning difficulties.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel across Leicestershire.
  • Previous SEN tutoring or alternative provision experience.
  • Experience working in PRU, special schools, or outreach settings.
  • Ability to differentiate learning across a wide range of abilities.
  • Experience engaging pupils who are currently out of mainstream education.
