Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing educational support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-on-one or small group setting. Your primary focus will be on helping SEN students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic potential.

  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' specific needs
  • Provide tailored teaching and learning strategies to support SEN students
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and achievements
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs
  • Understanding of SEN legislation and best practises
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Previous experience in SEN teaching or tutoring
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and teaching strategies
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • SENCO qualification
  • Additional training in specific learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia, ADHD)
  • Experience working in a similar role within a school or educational setting

This position is temporary and expected to work part-time hours. You may be required to travel to different locations to provide tutoring services. The role involves working closely with students, parents, and educational professionals to support the academic development of SEN students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
