We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team in Croydon, Greater London. As an SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing specialised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-on-one or small group setting. Your primary focus will be on assisting students in overcoming learning barriers and achieving their academic goals.

  • Provide individualised support and instruction to students with SEN
  • Develop tailored learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to help students succeed academically
  • Monitor and assess students' progress regularly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient and empathetic approach
  • Understanding of SEN support strategies

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Prior experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

  • Knowledge of SEN laws and regulations
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This position is part-time and will require flexibility in working hours. The role may involve working with students in various educational settings, including schools, community centres, or students' homes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
