TP Tutors are specialists in providing 1-1 tuition for young people who are not in education. We have an urgent need for tutors throughout Derbyshire area.

The pupils we support have a range of needs including:

  • SEND needs - such as Autism and learning difficulties
  • Children in Care - needing catch up tuition due to missing chunks of school or being out of education
  • School refusers
  • SEMH needs - varying from anxiety to severe mental health needs
  • Asylum Seekers
  • Pupils who have been excluded from school

As a 1:1 tutor, you will provide support in any of the following areas: English, Maths, Life Skills and preparing to transition back to school. Our pupils are aged 5 - 19 and we are looking for teachers to work in any age group of their preference. Our tuition is mostly 1:1 and based within the pupil’s home or in the local community, this is due to the children we work with mostly being out of education. Our support varies from 1 hour to 15 hours a week. 

Who are we looking for?

  • Compassionate individuals committed to making a difference to vulnerable young students
  • Nurturing, kind, and patient teachers who are committed to their pupils
  • Confident teachers who can deal with challenging behaviour
  • Teachers with an interest or experience in Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Fully Qualified Teachers or unqualified teachers with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of planning and delivering academic work
  • Enhanced DBS Child Only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
