The SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing academic support and tailored education to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role will involve creating individualised learning plans, delivering lessons, and monitoring progress to ensure each student reaches their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to address specific learning challenges and promote academic growth.

  • Developing and implementing personalised learning strategies for students with SEN
  • Delivering engaging lessons and educational activities
  • Assessing students' learning needs and progress
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to create supportive learning environments
  • Providing feedback and support to help students overcome learning barriers
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

  • Understanding of different learning styles and needs
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual students
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practises
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Previous experience in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

The role of SEN Tutor is based in a school setting in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The environment may involve working closely with students who have diverse learning needs and require patience and understanding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
