Academics are looking for a caring, proactive and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream school in Stone.

As a SEN teaching assistant you will have a variety of responsibilities to ensure students are getting the support they need to meet their personal development targets. You will need to be able to support pupils with varying abilities, including those needing additional support whilst helping to maintain a positive and engaging environment. You'll need to work closely with teachers and other teaching assistants to help maintain a calm, safe learning environment and the ability to communicate effectively when feeding back students progression. The role does require you to be able to support students with personal care or mobility needs where required in line with school policies.

  • Are patient, compassionate and committed to inclusive education.
  • Can build positive, professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
  • Are reliable, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Can commit to a full-time role
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or have equivalent practical experience; this is desirable
