Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Leamington Spa, starting ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to the educational experience and development of young people with additional needs.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
- Support students to engage positively with their learning and the wider school environment.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Adapt your approach to meet individual students' needs.
- Encourage confidence, independence and progress.
- Use your initiative and professional judgement when supporting students.
- Work closely with teaching staff and the school's wider SEN team.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people.
- Have experience supporting children/young people with SEN or additional needs.
- Be patient, caring, attentive and approachable.
- Be professional, reliable and trustworthy.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be confident working on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Be willing to commit to a full-time role.
- Be able to travel to Leamington Spa by car or public transport.
- Hold GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Any additional SEN, education or childcare qualifications would be highly beneficial.
- £95-£100 per day, depending on experience.
- Full-time, long-term opportunity.
