Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational provision in Yeovil.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome challenges, celebrate achievements and gain the skills needed for future success.

We are specifically looking for candidates who already have experience supporting learners with additional needs and can make a positive contribution from the very beginning.

Working alongside teachers, therapists and wider support staff, you will assist pupils with a range of needs including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Communication difficulties
  • Learning disabilities
  • Social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Sensory processing differences

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering personalised support
  • Assisting learners during lessons
  • Supporting communication development
  • Promoting social interaction
  • Encouraging independence
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing
  • Facilitating learning activities
  • Contributing towards EHCP outcomes
  • Helping create a safe and engaging learning environment
