We're seeking compassionate, dedicated, and resilient individuals to join our specialist school as Teaching Assistants (TAs). If you've worked in care, support work, healthcare, or a similar setting, you already possess many of the qualities needed to help children and young people with additional needs succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Work with individual students and small groups to support learning, encourage participation, and build confidence both academically and socially.
Provide personal care for students where required, including support with toileting, personal hygiene, feeding, changing, and mobility. All support is delivered sensitively, promoting dignity, wellbeing, and independence.
Assist teachers with preparing learning materials, supporting classroom activities, and creating an inclusive and engaging environment where every student can thrive.
Support students in developing communication skills, emotional regulation, resilience, social interaction, and independence, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Develop positive and trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure each young person receives the support they need.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional and often complex needs.
Comfortable supporting students with varying levels of personal care needs and able to approach these responsibilities professionally, respectfully, and with compassion.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Able to adapt to changing situations and remain calm in a specialist school environment where students may require a high level of support throughout the day.
Previous experience in care, healthcare, residential support, disability services, or similar settings is highly desirable and provides an excellent foundation for success in this role.
