Sen Teaching Assistant

Location: Tuebrook, Liverpool (L13)
Salary: £95 - £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Tuebrook (L13) area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate education professional who is committed to helping children achieve their full potential, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external agencies to provide targeted support for pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

• Support teaching and learning across the primary age range.
• Deliver interventions and tailored support programmes for pupils with SEN.
• Work on a one-to-one basis and with small groups of pupils requiring additional support.
• Assist in the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning targets.
• Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Liaise effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in pupil support.
• Contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.

• A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3)
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH, or other additional needs.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
