SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - KS2

Location: Liverpool, L6.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Potentially for the Full Academic Year)
Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour (DOE)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a Key Stage 2 classroom.

This rewarding role involves supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Dyslexia, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a mainstream primary school setting.

The Role

• Providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
• Supporting the child's academic, social, and emotional development
• Implementing strategies to encourage engagement and independence
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the pupil's individual needs
• Adapting learning activities and resources where required
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism, is highly desirable
• Knowledge of dyslexia and effective support strategies is advantageous
• Patient, resilient, and nurturing in their approach
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Experience in education, care, youth work, or similar support roles is welcomed
