Teaching Personnel

Do you have the patience of a saint, the energy to keep up with curious young minds, and a knack for turning challenges into victories?

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Bury, supporting pupils aged 7-16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

This isn't your typical classroom role. One moment you could be helping a pupil crack a challenging maths problem, the next you might be celebrating a breakthrough in confidence, communication, or independence. It's those moments that make this role truly rewarding.

No two days look exactly the same, but you can expect to:

Support pupils in lessons and learning activities

Build positive relationships based on trust and understanding

Help children engage with learning in ways that work for them

Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience

Support pupils with their social and emotional development

Celebrate progress, big or small

Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive

You don't need to be a superhero (although it sometimes helps!).

We're looking for someone who is:

✅ Patient, caring, and empathetic

✅ Able to stay positive when faced with challenges

✅ Passionate about helping young people succeed

✅ A strong communicator and team player

✅ Creative, adaptable, and willing to think outside the box

✅ Interested in supporting pupils with additional needs and autism

Experience working with children, young people, SEND, care, support work, coaching, youth work, or similar settings is desirable, but the right attitude is just as important.

This specialist setting is built around the belief that every child deserves to feel valued, understood, and successful.

You'll join a team that celebrates individuality, embraces diversity, and works together to help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether you're supporting a student to join in with a lesson, build a friendship, or achieve a personal goal, you'll play a key part in their journey.

And let's be honest, there aren't many jobs where the small wins can mean so much.

If you're looking for a role that's rewarding, varied, and genuinely meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today with Teaching Personnel and start a career where you can help young people grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
