Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support based on individual pupil needs
• Assist pupils with learning activities and encourage participation in the classroom
• Support personal care, including feeding, toileting, dressing, and mobility, when required
• Use communication approaches such as PECS, Makaton, symbols, and visual timetables
• Assist with the implementation of EHCPs, individual learning plans, and care plans
• Work alongside teachers, therapists, and other professionals to provide consistent support
• Encourage pupils to develop their independence, confidence, and social skills
• Help maintain a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN is advantageous
• An understanding of complex needs such as ASD, PMLD, and physical disabilities
• Naturally patient, compassionate, and approachable
• Confident supporting pupils with personal care requirements
