We are currently working with schools in Leighton Buzzard who are looking for caring, patient, and motivated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their support teams. You will support pupils with a range of profound and complex needs, providing individualised assistance throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities

  • Use communication approaches such as PECS, Makaton, symbols, and visual timetables
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs, individual learning plans, and care plans
  • Work alongside teachers, therapists, and other professionals to provide consistent support
  • Encourage pupils to develop their independence, confidence, and social skills
  • Help maintain a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is advantageous
  • An understanding of complex needs such as ASD, PMLD, and physical disabilities
