SEN Teaching Assistant – South Oxhey
Location: South Oxhey, Hertfordshire
Start Date: September
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £85–£110 per day (dependent on experience)
Supply Desk is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in South Oxhey from September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and play a key role in helping them flourish both academically and personally. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support for children with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
You will provide 1:1 support, lead small group interventions, and assist in delivering engaging learning activities that meet the individual needs of pupils. You will help create a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment where children feel safe, confident, and motivated to achieve their goals. Encouraging independence, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing will be central to this role.
Working as part of a supportive and collaborative staff team, you will build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed. Whether you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or have relevant experience working with children with additional needs, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a welcoming school community.
