About the Role:

Supply Desk are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in the Croxley Green area. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to students, helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Learning Support Assistants, as well as individuals looking to begin or develop a career in education within a supportive and rewarding school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students across a range of year groups and abilities
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners
• Support students with additional learning needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
• Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents to support student development
• Promote student independence, confidence and wellbeing throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or special educational needs are desirable but not essential
