We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Salford from September 2026.

The successful candidate will work closely with students with additional learning needs, providing both one-to-one and small group support to help them access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

  • Support students with SEND in lessons and around school.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and learning support.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams.
  • Build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Support behaviour, engagement and emotional wellbeing.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
