Working closely with classroom teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), you will be the champion that helps pupils with additional needs thrive. Every day is different, but a typical day will involve:

• 1:1 & Small Group Support: Tailoring your approach to help children with unique learning styles (including ASD, ADHD, and speech/language needs) feel confident and understood.

• Bringing Lessons to Life: Adapting learning materials to ensure no child is left behind.

• Building Independence: Helping students implement their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and celebrating their milestones.

• Creating Safe Spaces: Promoting an inclusive classroom environment and using positive behaviour management strategies.

• Tracking Progress: Observing and recording student breakthroughs to share with teachers and families.

We care more about your passion, patience, and empathy than a long list of qualifications.

What you'll need to bring:

• Experience: A background working with children with SEND (this could be from a school, care, or community setting).

• The Right Attitude: A patient, proactive, and resilient approach to supporting young people.

• Communication: Great teamwork skills and the ability to connect with children and colleagues alike.

Nice-to-haves (but not essential):

• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent.
