Teaching Personnel's specialist SEN team in Norwich is recruiting a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in the Thetford area, supporting pupils aged 6–16.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a nurturing and supportive team, where every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school caters for children and young people with a primary diagnosis of Autism, alongside Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing a personalised approach that enables every learner to reach their potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to provide tailored support that helps pupils grow in confidence, develop key life skills, and achieve their educational goals.

• Supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings.
• Delivering personalised interventions to meet individual learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
• Adapting learning activities to suit a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence and self-confidence.
• Working in line with EHCP targets to ensure pupils receive consistent, high-quality support.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families to create a supportive learning environment.

• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN in either primary or secondary settings.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle, as travel is essential for this role.
• Is compassionate, patient and committed to helping every pupil succeed.
• Is confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
• Is adaptable, resilient and able to work effectively in a dynamic school environment.
• Is eager to continue developing through ongoing training and professional development.
