Teaching Personnel's specialist SEN team in Norwich is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a well-established specialist school in Great Yarmouth, supporting pupils aged 6–16.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a nurturing environment where every student has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school supports pupils with a primary diagnosis of Autism alongside Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, providing tailored education that helps every learner succeed.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with teachers and the wider support team, you'll build positive relationships and create a safe, engaging learning environment where every child can flourish.

• Supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom.
• Delivering personalised interventions that meet individual learning and emotional needs.
• Adapting learning activities to suit a range of abilities and learning styles.
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop confidence and independence.
• Working in line with EHCP targets to provide consistent, high-quality support.
• Building trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.

• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in primary or secondary settings.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle, as travel is essential for this role.
• Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a positive impact.
• Remains calm and confident when supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Is adaptable, resilient, and able to respond to changing situations.
• Is committed to ongoing training and professional development.
