SEN Teaching Assistant - The Role
This school is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support both inside and outside of the classroom.
You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them engage with learning, develop communication and social skills, and follow structured routines throughout the school day. The role may also involve supporting pupils with sensory needs and behaviour management strategies.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be patient, proactive, and confident building positive relationships with pupils who require additional support.
This is a long-term role starting ASAP with the potential to become permanent.
SEN Teaching Assistant - The School
This is a specialist SEN school in Redbourn supporting approximately 70–120 pupils aged 5–16 with autism, communication difficulties, and additional learning needs. The school provides a highly structured and nurturing environment with small class sizes and a strong staff-to-pupil ratio to ensure pupils receive personalised support.
