An inspiring SEN residential school based in the beautiful countryside near Shillingstone is seeking caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team from September.

The school supports pupils aged 7–19 with autism and associated additional needs, providing a highly personalised and nurturing learning environment where every young person is encouraged to thrive.

Set within stunning grounds, our school offers a unique therapeutic environment including animal-assisted learning and therapy. Pupils benefit from regular interaction with horses and other animals as part of their educational and emotional development.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with autism
  • Are patient, empathetic and resilient
  • Enjoy working as part of a supportive and collaborative team
  • Can help create a positive, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Are keen to support pupils both academically and socially
  • Experience within SEN is desirable but not essential – full training can be provided

The role includes:

  • Supporting pupils in lessons and throughout the school day
  • Encouraging communication, independence and emotional regulation
  • Assisting with outdoor and therapeutic activities
  • Helping pupils to achieve their individual learning and personal development goals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
