About the Role

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tuebrook, who are looking to appoint a committed SEN Teaching Assistant for the new academic year starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting pupils with additional needs, helping to nurture both their academic progress and personal growth.

You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and the wider support team to provide tailored support for pupils with a variety of needs, including ASC, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs
  • Deliver targeted small-group interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social development
  • Adapt classroom activities and resources to support individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to the SENCO and class teacher
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages independence

About You

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced in working with children with SEND (school or care background considered)
  • Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with a genuine interest in supporting pupils
  • Flexible and proactive in meeting the needs of different learners
  • A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Knowledgeable about safeguarding and child protection practices

Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 are desirable but not essential.
