About the Role
We are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil within a welcoming primary school setting. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them access learning in a nurturing and structured environment.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support the child’s learning, development and wellbeing throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with additional needs
  • Support the child’s learning, communication and social development
  • Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s support plan or EHCP where applicable
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Support classroom engagement and participation in learning activities
