Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time only (part-time considered - minimum of 3 days per week)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist SEN school in Cranleigh. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support students with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities
Provide one-to-one and small group support
Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
Help create a positive and engaging classroom environment
Assist with personal care where required
About You
A genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs
Patience, empathy, and resilience
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience working in an SEN setting is desirable but not essential
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification) are advantageous
